Congregations of the Indian Valley Cluster will gather to celebrate Shrove Tuesday, on February 13th at Advent Lutheran Church in Harleysville. (470 Landis Road Harleysville, PA 19438).  The event will be from 6:00—8:00 pm. 

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday beginning the penitential season of Lent, related popular practices, such as indulging in food that one might give up as their Lenten sacrifice for the upcoming forty days. The term Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday", referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. Join us for the Burning of the Palms, Table Prayers, Fellowship and Fun and a Pancake dinner with other “fatty” goodies provided. Please sign up in the narthex by February 4th!
